The Hobbit by J.R.R TolkienIn light of the upcoming film, we thought it would be nice to read (or in most cases re-read) The Hobbit before the film comes out in December. This was a childhood favourite of mine, one that I haven't picked up for a number of years so I'm looking forward to reliving the adventure again - we hope you enjoy it too!

ReplyDeleteI read The Hobbit back in March and I loved it. It was boring in places and quite heavy going in other parts but the story itself is a good one. It's interesting and as someone who found The Lord Of The Rings trilogy near impossible to read, The Hobbit is a great gateway book to it. It introduces the world to the reader and sets up enough prequel and history for TLOTR that it becomes a lot easier to read.
